Tight Tank Top Girl

To the tight tank top girl that served me at the bar

You were so close in proximity, but our hearts were so far

Your loose lips and twinkling eyes pierced every part of me

Like I was locked in a chamber, waiting for you to set me free

Our time was brief but your memory is forever etched in my mind

Maybe our paths will cross again one day, I hope you’re not hard to find

It’s funny how a brief moment, or whisper in time

Can inspire this brief poem, of verse and rhyme

But you’ve captured my heart like a mouse in a trap

It is my gift to you for you to unwrap

But you’re not here now and nothing is as it seems

So I’ll fall asleep at night, and hope to see you in my dreams
